Who Am I?
Pearl
grew up on the banks of the Kaweah River in the Sierra Nevada
foothills with wilderness all around her. She spent hundreds of
carefree, barefoot days traipsing the hills and wading the creeks
with
her dog Smokey,
in close association with the natural world. Currently living in the
Clearwater River Valley of Idaho gives her the same immediate
opportunity to live with and study the things she loves most about
God’s incredible creation. Gardening, swimming, canoeing, and
birding top the list of favorite things to do.
Pearl
lives with her husband, Jay, their two yellow labs, Possum and
Willow, and an assortment of wild creatures that mostly come out at
night!
She has taught art in the public schools, as well as many workshops and individuals over the past 25 years, including the Volcano Art Center in Hawaii, Kamiah Bible Academy and currently the Hardcore Academy, also in Kamiah, Idaho. In March and September of every year she teaches a Watercolor Retreat at the Monastery of St. Gertrude Spirit Center in Cottonwood, Idaho. One can also attend private lessons in her home.
